Engagement Session | Emily & Myles

Emily & Myles met in high school. She was a Sophomore, he was a senior. Emily had just broken up with her boyfriend and her friend decided to set her up with Myles. A double date was set up and they really enjoyed each other's company. That was it - these two cuties were immediately attracted to each other. It wasn't long before they were going steady.

Graduations came and the relationship continued to grow and get stronger. The years passed and Emily and Myles were inseparable and completely in love. They dated for 6 1/2 years when Myles decided to pop the question.

It was Christmas in Goliad weekend and Myles arranged for Emily and their family & friends to meet at a small, local lounge. It didn't take Emily long to know that something was up - first of all Myles kept walking off. What was he up to? There was a band playing and they started to sing 'Without One Sound' by Zack Walther. Myles asked Emily to dance. She figured it out pretty quick when everyone gathered around them with their phones ready to video tape. Myles got down on one knee and asked Emily to be with him forever. Emily was filled with emotion & joy and of course said 'YES!!'. It became a great celebration with all their friends and family surrounding them. Everyone was so happy!

Emily and Myles are so comfortable around one another and are comfortable to be around. They are sweet and had no trouble being lovey-dovey for the session. Their closest friends joined us and I got a glimpse into their true interactions with each other and their buddies. There was lots of laughter and fun and the session just flowed freely. It never felt like work for me - they all made me feel like I was part of the party. The session was held on Emily's family property and it was a photographers dream - a farmhouse, rustic buildings, huge old trees and a gorgeous lake. And did I mention that Emily & Myles are so darn good-looking??? What a beautiful couple!!

I know their Spring wedding is going to be beautiful and fun. I am so happy to have had a small part in their wonderful love story. Thank you Emily & Myles for your kindness and for trusting me to capture your love. God Bless you both!!
