Debra and I have known each other for over 20 years.  We met each other when we were both working two jobs to support our families.  Although we were tired all the time - no one could make me laugh harder than Debra.  She has such quick wit and the best sense of humor.

She is also a loyal friend.  We don't work together anymore, and Debra has moved out of town so we don't see each other very often, except for Facebook.  But when we do, we can pick up right where we left off and start laughing again.  I was so happy for her when she told me she had fallen in love and was getting married.  And honored that she asked me to photograph their engagement session.

The day of the session was the first day I met Robert.  And I could immediately tell why they fell...

Emily & Myles met in high school.  She was a Sophomore, he was a senior.  Emily had just broken up with her boyfriend and her friend decided to set her up with Myles.  A double date was set up and they really enjoyed each other's company.  That was it - these two cuties were immediately attracted to each other.  It wasn't long before they were going steady.

Graduations came and the relationship continued to grow and get stronger.    The years passed and Emily and Myles were inseparable and completely in love.    They dated for 6 1/2 years when Myles decided to pop the question.

It was Christmas in Goliad weekend and Myles arranged for Emily and their family & friends to meet at a small, local lounge.  It didn't take Emily long to know that somethi...

Eva & I grew up as neighbors on the west side of Cuero.  We spent our summers playing and riding our bikes all over town.  She and her sister Gloria were two of my best friends.  We don't get together often but when we do, we start reminiscing which includes lots of deep belly laughs.

I believe love is best when it comes later in life.  It happened for me.  When we are older, our maturity causes us to focus on what is important, we don't sweat the small stuff as much and we appreciate when someone good comes in our life.  That is the story of Eva & Gerald.

Eva & Gerald met on an online dating site.  They went on a couple of days and for no particular reason, went their separate ways.  They dated others and didn't give each other much thou...

Chapter One...

Josh & AnaBelle had a mutual friend named Jacob.  Jacob must have seen something with these two so he introduced them to one another.  Josh was certainly interested in this petite caramel eyed girl but AnaBelle was dating someone else at the time.   He tried to reach out to her on Facebook but she didn't respond. didn't work out with the other guy.  After her break-up,  AnaBelle decided to accept Josh's messages.  And they have never stopped talking since.

I stalk them on Facebook and love how they describe one another.  Josh calls Anabelle "gorgeous", "Fine!" and  says over and over that he's so thankful he met her.  Anabelle refers to Josh as "handsome" and a "hottie" and also how blessed she is to have him in her life.  T...

Chapter One -

Kristian & Kelby had several mutual friends.   Their Facebook profiles kept coming up on each other's feed "People You May Know".    They finally accepted each others friend request and got to know each other.  After some time Kelby asked Kristian out on a date.   He took her to Red Lobster for their first date.    That was all it took.  The attraction was mutual.  The first date never ended.  Kristian & Kelby fell in love.

2 years later they are before my camera, giggling nervously in every pose.  I would instruct them - 'face each other - look into each others eyes.'  They would do that for half a second and then the smiles would erupt.  The smiles would turn into a giggle, then full out laughter.   It was so e...

Alissa & Aaron worked for the same company and were scheduled for the same training.    They found themselves having some fun with each other which turned into a bit of teasing & flirting.  A huge group of friends were going to dinner together.  Aaron had invited a date to this dinner but still finding himself attracted to Alissa who was so fun and full of life.  After dinner, everyone decided to continue the night was some drinks and dancing.  Aaron and Alissa found themselves sitting at the bar and talked for 3-4 hours non-stop.  They felt as if they were the only two people in the place.

Since both were dating other people, they were just good friends for awhile.  But eventually the other people just seemed to naturally fall away and Alissa &...

Jamey and Joseph were at a mutual friend's house.  They were there to watch a Mayweather boxing match.  They were introduced and maybe felt a little spark there.  By chance they ran into each other a week later a week later.  They became dating and have found themselves inseparable since then!

4 years later, Joseph visited Jamey's parents and asked for her their daughter's hand in marriage.   He had this entire encounter videotaped.  Her parents happily gave Joseph their blessing.  On Mother's Day 2016, Joseph played the videotape for Jamey as well as a slide show of their journey together.  Immediately Jamey was in tears, she knew what was coming.  Joseph got down on one knee and asked Jamey to spend the rest of their lives with him.  Her answer was YES!!!!...

This past Saturday we braved the South Texas heat for an Engagement photo shoot for Ray and Danielle.  Not real sure how Danielle found me but I'm so glad she did.  At our first meeting I was struck with Danielle's genuine sweetness.  I doubt there is a mean bone in this girls's body!

She told me that she and Ray were an item when they were much younger but ended up going their separate ways.  A few years later, their paths crossed again and this time they both knew it was true love that deserved a forever commitment.   Danille has a son from a prior relationship and Ray has accepted Aiden like his own.  You can certainly see the love, wait not just love - adoration he has for both Danielle and Aiden.

I worry a bit when men and children are part of a photo...

Well, well well - look who's blogging!  Me!  Oh my - I have been so neglectful of blogging!!Why haven't I blogged?  Well, there are a few reasons:

First - I update my facebook page so often that I feel its repetitious to come here and do the same.  Who wants to read the same thing twice?

Secondly - I don't know where to fit it into my day!  I spend so much time editing photos and working on building my business.  Where would I fit this in???

Thirdly (is that a real word?) - who is reading it?  I often wondered if anyone even noticed I was doing this?

But - I have been studying marketing and following successful photographers and they all blog and state that it's imperative in the photography industry.  So - I'm going to make a serious effort to make it happen....
