Kary came to me, like  most of my Boudoir Clients, very nervous.  I could see it in her eyes, she was questioning her decision to even be at my pre-consultation.  She explained that her husband has passed away a couple of years ago and just wanted to do something to boost her confidence.  She was doing this for herself.  I always love when someone is doing this just for herself.  I'm always proud of a woman who does it for herself.  What a wonderful memory to create!!

Kary told me she wanted something a little edgier, kind of a motorcycle leather type of set.  I have been waiting for this for a long time.  I have had a vision of a darker set and I have been collecting black candelabras for a while now with this exact vision in mind.  Black...

If you have followed me for any length of time, you know that Boudoir is my ultra-favorite type of photo shoot.   I don't believe there is any other photo shoot that makes a woman feel so beautiful, so feminine, so empowered.  And a bridal photo shoot does that and more.  I love creating soft, romantic portraits.  I love picturing in my mind the groom's face when he receives this amazing gift.   And most of all - I love watching the bride's face as I ask her about her fiancé.

Kalli's face is so beautiful.  Her eyes are soulful and kind.  And I can see how much she loves Travis.  Her face just lights up when she speaks of him and their upcoming wedding!

She also has a playful side!  Although we barely knew each other, we had lots of fun...

My friend Kaylene and I were having a drink one afternoon and she seemed down in the dumps.  After we talked about it for a while I told her "do you know what you need?  A boudoir photo shoot!"  I know that a boudoir photo shoot will lift the spirits quicker than anything else!  Kaylene went from skeptical to excited in just a matter of minutes! We called our mutual friend Lea and asked her if she would do hair and makeup.  Lea has done two boudoirs with me and know how fun they are and quickly agreed.

The morning of the shoot Kaylene showed up at my studio a little nervous but still excited.  I had mimosas ready to take the edge off those nerves.  Lea showed up with her make up kit and glammed Kaylene up!

Lea stayed and became my a...

This Boudoir photo shoot is extra special to me.  It is the very first photo shoot that I did in my new studio!!   Before I was blessed with this studio, I worked for 3 years out of my house.  I have two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs that I converted into a studio and office.  That was great, it was rent free but it had its limitations.  The windows were small, the ceilings were sloped and because heat rises it was always so warm up there.  But I made it work and I worked with lots of amazing, beautiful women in that makeshift studio.  But I had definitely outgrown it.  I needed a better space to meet with customers and take photo shoots.

My new studio is actually one large space that is separated by rustic, old doors.  I had hoped to have separat...

HAPPY OCTOBER!!  To me that truly feels like fall.  I feel like now I can put up the fall wreath on my front door, start to burn my pumpkin smelling candles and have a Pumpkin Spice Latte (yum).

October also represents Halloween which is a time where children and adults alike take advantage of becoming someone who inspires them in some way.  So I thought ~ what better time to launch a Superhero Boudoir Photo Series??

If you've read anything about me - my photography business began with an interest in Boudoir Photography.  It was my first love and continues to be my very favorite photo shoot.  I never imagined my photography businesss would expand to what it is now which includes brides and weddings.  I truly believed I would be exclusively a Boudoir Photography Studio...
