Gabby & Tim went to school together.  They were in the same grade. They graduated together.   But NEVER MET.  Isn't that crazy?  After graduation, they each enrolled in Austin Community College where they finally crossed paths.

Gabby naturally gravitated to Tim.  Tim is a super goofy guy who loves to make her laugh.  While dating, they found that they have a lot of the same interests - like they are both movie buffs and started going to the movies almost weekly.    Tim may be goofy but Gabby found out he has smooth dance moves so dancing is another thing they enjoy together.   All of these common interests created not just a spark and a friendship between them, but it caused them to fall in love.   Deeply in love.

Another thing they...

Congratulations to Jesseca and her new husband Romel! Jesseca and Romel were married this weekend in a lovely outdoor ceremony at the Officers Club here in Victoria. It was small and intimate with only their closest family & friends.

Jesseca is such a quiet soul, she contacted me and said she just wanted a simple photo shoot for her bridals. I was so excited to do it! Jesseca looked STUNNING - her hair and makeup by Stephen Bess was flawless. She was perfection for sure.

While Jesseca and her grandmother were with me, they told me about their experience with Mayfair Bridal in San Antonio. They said they were so very nice and accommodating and helped Jesseca find the perfect dress for her.   The designer of her gown was Enchanted by Mon Cheri Bridals.  Jewelry by Kendra Scott completed her l...

Brittany & Adriano met at church.   They became fast friends and enjoyed each other's company.  It was a full year before Adriano asked Brittany out on a date.   They started a romance and became inseparable.

One day Adriano suggested they go to San Antonio for the weekend.  He wanted a weekend with all of their families together.  Brittany agreed and was excited for a weekend with Adriano and their families.  Little did she know that the mom's were in on a secret.  Adriano told Brittany that he wanted everyone to meet at the Tower of Americas for dinner.  When he and Brittany arrived, there was a heart made out of candles.  Brittany was thinking  "how sweet!"  She didn't know it was for her until Adriano led her to the heart and got down on one knee.  She was shocked bu...

I miss brides!  Since I am no longer photographing weddings, I don't get a lot of opportunities to be around brides and all their beauty.  So you can image how happy I was when Brittany and her mother Sabrina asked me to photograph her bridals!

I immediately fell in love with Brittany.  Of course, the first thing I noticed was her beauty.  But as we talked, I noticed how soft spoken, thoughtful and sweet she is.  I knew our time together was going to be special.

I asked Brittany about her fiance and her face lit up as she told me their love story.

Brittany & Adriano had been attending the same church for about a year before they started dating.  Their attraction to each other seemed immediate and it didn't take them long to fall in love.    Adriano knew she was the one....

Devin & Norman met in May 2013 through a mutual friend while spending a fun, lazy weekend on the Frio River.  They became instant friends and were inseparable.  After only 6 months of dating Norman asked Devin to move in with her.  Without hesitation, she agreed.

About 2 years later, Norman came home early from work on a Tuesday afternoon.  Devin was napping in the bedroom.  She woke to find him down on one knee.  He asked her to be his forever.  Devin was so surprised she became overwhelmed with emotion.  Through happy tears she said absolutely YES!!!

They already had plans for a tropical vacation and decided why not take their wedding to paradise?  They saw this as a chance to do something incredible that would be more than anything they’ve ever been a part of...

Diana told me she and her fiancée Homer had bought some property and wanted to do her bridals there.  I anticipated trees, pastures, etc - the usual stuff you see in the country.  I was not prepared for what I saw.  My assistant Vicki and I turned in the driveway through the red brick entrance  surrounded by Italian Cypress tree and statues and our mouths literally fell open.

As we drove past the creek that runs through the property, we couldn't take our eyes off the white covered bridge that went over it.   We drove to the garage where we met Diana.  She was looking gorgeous after her glam session with Yurim Cabrera Makeup Artistry.   Also on the property was Diana's wedding coordinator and decorator - Margie Ramirez with Marge in Charge.  She was busy ou...

I love Mission Espiritu Santo in Goliad.  It is so serene and peaceful there.  You almost feel like you have to whisper.   My mom and I had previously visited here so I could scope out the property and plan my photo map for the day.  Given how directionally challenged I am, it's no surprise that mom and I got a little lost on the nature trail (I'm pretty sure if we hadn't found our way out, my mom would have made me her lunch).   I knew it would be a pretty place to take pictures.

Cassie and her mom Anna arrived and my jaw dropped when I saw Cassie's dress and veil.  How beautiful and fit her soooo perfectly!!  Cassie's strapless ballgown is by Allure Bridals  and was so romantic and elegant with the gorgeous applique lace and  the crystal deta...

Yvette tagged along with her sister-in-law who was coming to see me about a cake smash.  She was looking for someone to do her bridals before her wedding which was coming up fast.  I pulled out my trusty planner and we found a date that would work for both of us.

Yvette and Frankie's love story began 8 years ago when they were married by a Justice of the Peace in her parents living room.  She never stopped thinking about her dream wedding and they decided to just do it!!  The wedding reception was going to be held at the new Hause Venue so she wanted to do her bridals there.  I was so excited - as I've already told ya'll - I love that old building and have lots of fond memories there.   My assistant Vicki was excited too, we had shot one bridal there so we were pret...

When I was a teenager one of my favorite places to go was Hauschild Music Store.  I dreamed of one day owning a shiny, black baby grand piano.  I would just spending hours at the store looking at pianos, organs and sheet music.   I was often joined by my best friend Debbie and we now talk about those days and laugh about how geeky we were.   I also often dragged my parents there to show them the baby grands and tell them how badly I wanted one.   They never bought me that but I did get an upright piano and a really cool organ that played different beats & sounds while I played.

Hauschild Music store closed its doors years ago.   I always loved that old building in downtown Victoria.   So imagine my joy when I learned that we would be shooting K...

Megan searched long and hard for a beautiful venue to take her bridals portraits at.  She sent me some pictures of Villa Antonia and I kept my fingers crossed that would be the venue she chose.  And she did.

Villa Antonia is a venue up on the side of a hill with beautiful panoramic views of the hill country.  The venue also offers a beautiful staircase, huge stone fireplace, a humongous water wall plus great hospitality.   Everyone was so kind and accommodating.

Megan and her sweet mom Norma rented the venue for two hours and boy did that time go fast!  She was able to get dressed in a huge, upstairs bridal suite.  Her fitted, lace  Maggie Sottero gown was soooo gorgeous and fit her perfectly.  It had just the right amount of bling around her little waist.   S...
