Boudoir Photo Shoot - Charity

This Boudoir photo shoot is extra special to me. It is the very first photo shoot that I did in my new studio!! Before I was blessed with this studio, I worked for 3 years out of my house. I have two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs that I converted into a studio and office. That was great, it was rent free but it had its limitations. The windows were small, the ceilings were sloped and because heat rises it was always so warm up there. But I made it work and I worked with lots of amazing, beautiful women in that makeshift studio. But I had definitely outgrown it. I needed a better space to meet with customers and take photo shoots.

My new studio is actually one large space that is separated by rustic, old doors. I had hoped to have separate spaces so I could have a room dedicated just to Boudoir. Because it is a large space, I didn’t like the idea of a bed right in the middle of the space. So I invested in a futon. It could sit people when it was a couch and it opens up to a full sized bed when laid flat. I had previously purchased a gray upholstered headboard so my plan is to open the futon and place the headboard behind it to give it a real, bed feel.

Charity took advantage of my Valentine’s Day promotion. I was so excited. I couldn’t wait to try out my new studio. When I met Charity, I felt like I was talking to an old friend. She is so down to earth and friendly. She told me she was a rustic girl. She liked cowboy boots and iron stars. My vision for the shoot completely shifted. I knew Charity wasn’t a “gray upholstered headboard” kinda girl. So I decided to use a pair of my old rustic doors as a backdrop instead. I thought that turned out great and Charity loved it.

Charity brought no lingerie at all other than pretty under garments. She brought two flannel shirts, her husband’s work shirt, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. How cool is that? She looked absolutely gorgeous – her hair and makeup were done by the always amazing Yurim Cabrera Makeup Artistry. Charity rocked the photo shoot from the first frame to the last frame. She has so much confidence and a dazzling smile. We truly had fun. Some of her favorite photos were when I kept snapping pictures as we both laughed uncontrollably.

When we looked at her photos after the shoot, I was so so pleased. My studio is painted a very pure white plus has lots and lots of natural light. The photos were all so perfectly exposed and Charity was just radiant. She loved her photos and so did I. Charity also has reported to me that her husband was shocked and LOVED it. That’s all I need to hear.

I have done three other Boudoir’s since Charity. And each one has been just as beautiful. My new studio is perfect for this.

Thank you Charity for choosing me to do this photo shoot with you. I feel like I have a new friend and I am truly grateful.
