The two days called a weekend go so so fast! I feel like I just left work Friday at 5:00!
I did have a good weekend. Spent Saturday is Sugarland shopping with my favorite daughter, sister and mom. We started in Town Square where we had lunch at our favorite restaurant - Cafe Express and then just walked the street stopping at the different shops. My favorite daughter Desiree is getting married in 2015 and this was our first time shopping for wedding stuff. How fun is that? We went into our first bridal store which made me want to cry just looking at the beautiful gowns. My daughter and I have a whole different tastes when it comes to wedding gowns. I was drawn to all the lace dresses and she was drawn to the ball gown style. Well, it is her wedding so I guess ball gown it is. I was shocked at how heavy these gowns are! Brides must be exhausted wearing those things al day! It would be like partying all night with one of those heavy x-ray vests on! Now I know why brides want a second dress to change to after the receiption. Anyway - we so enjoyed just looking for now.
We then went into a jewelry store looking for possible bridesmaid gifts. That was fun. But then we went to our favorite store in the world - Z Gallerie. Everything in that store is so beautiful. We were inspired and did buy our very first wedding items! We bought the toasting flutes, the cake knife and server and the pen for the guest book. And they are ultra-beautiful! We were so so excited And we have our wish list of what we are going to buy a little at a time. Desiree and I were absolutely giddy in that store. We left with our bags in our hands and sparkles in our eyes.
We continued our shopping at First Colony Mall. We shopped until we dropped and then had dinner and drinks at Gringos. We had fun but my feet were so mad at me!
Today was filled with a beautiful church service and day 1 of our 21 day Daniel Fast. I will be fasting for 21 days and I am dedicating this time to my cousin's great grandson Kail. He is only 6 months old and is very, very sick. He is in ICU in Jackson, MS. This is so heart breaking for my cousin Rita who is so far away from him. She just met Kail for the first time over the Christmas holiday. I am believing for a full, quick recovery for little Kail!
This weekend was also a who-hoo weekend for my photo studio. I booked two Valentine Pin-Up Boudoir photo shoots! Am super excited about the pin-up. I find Boudoir to be my most favorite type of shoot. Shooting a beautiful woman is nothing less that a work of art. Can't wait for these Valentine shoots! I have been shopping for vintage props and I've found some fun things! The rest of my props I plan to find by shopping at my momma's house! That place is a treasure of fun photo props!
Well - I guess I should cut this computer off and relax before having to go to work in freezing temperatures in the morning. We'll talk again soon! Good night!
